                                                SUPERFAST TRAVEL TO MARS

New propulsion systems may blast astronauts through space at very high speeds, making manned mars mission much faster. electric propulsion systems driven by nuclear fission or nuclear fusion would make these travels dramatically short.....well not like STARTREK!! but it would make the mission about 210 days long-83 days for the flight out and a 30 day stay on mars and a 97 day journey back to earth, This type of propulsion system could be powered by nuclear fusion. In this engine bubbles of plasma-made from deuterium and tritium, "heavy" isotopes of hydrogen-would be injected into a chamber where a magnetic field would collapse the metal ring around them. This would briefly compress bubbles into a fusion state, releasing energy that would vaporize and ionize the metal. The nozzle would then be accelerated out of the spacecraft through a nozzle creating thrust. in case you had a lot of trouble trying to understand the words here are the definitions.....
Plasma-It is a state of matter which consists of super charged and super energetic particles. Plasma can be created by subjecting a gas to extreme heat or an electromagnetic field. This cause the electrons to gain enough energy to break free from their bonds, but travel with their nucleus.
Isotopes-They are versions of chemical elements that have a different number number of neutrons in the nucleus but have the same no of protons.
Magnetic field-It is the magnetic effect of electrical currents and magnetic materials
Fusion-A nuclear reaction in which an atomic nuclei of low atomic number fuse to form a heavier nucleus with release of energy..This is the same way that the sun gives out its own light.
Ionization-It is the process by which an atom gets a positive or negative charge by loosing or gaining electrons to form ions.
However there are many other propulsion systems that are being tested and are more powerful than this.......This is still one of the fastest propulsion systems.

                                                        Cicret bracelet

The cicret bracelet is sensational technology that allows you to use your hand as you own touchscreen smartphone. It was designed so that you can easily access your work apps without having to actually remove your phone. All you have to do is flick your wrist and you will have your phone on your hand which you can use just like a normal phone. This is a wearable technology and is waterproof so you can use it while swimming or in a bathtub.

Science behind it

It uses sensor technology which shoots straight lines of light rays
and when you put your hand in the middle it calculates the distance of your hand away from the start of the sensor and then sees the option which is beneath that distance and selects it just like a normal smart phone.

The advantages of this sensational technology is that you can use it anywhere without removing your phone out of your pocket.

There is a disadvantage to this too, you cannot type very smoothly and you can use only one hand so this is not ideal for typing long emails.etc.

This picture shows the inner parts of the cicret bracelet.

Drones

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) commonly known as Drones is an aircraft without a human pilot witch can be either controlled through a remote control or a built in software that is controlled by super computer.
This technology has a lot of use in the military field and in time it can be even used in our daily life.
The main uses of these are in the military and are often preferred for mission that are not possible for person without risking his or her life, other than this they have even commercial and scientific uses.
Currently many companies are developing Drones for the average consumer like in the photography industry which can be used to take landscape view photos that a normal photographer can't.

Science Behind It

A drone can takeoff in 3 different ways :
1) A horizontal take off and landing where there is a runway
2) A catapulted or a zero length rocket
3) A vertical take off

Once the drone has been launched the advanced robotic algorithms take over the drone or the drone can be controlled by person.
A drone can fly independently using a complex algorithm, a camera and built in software to 3D map its surrounding.
The wing of the drones are fitted with microscopic weeping holes. The material of the drones are usually light materials like carbon fibre which are just as strong.

Military Drones

Military drones are used to in simple missions and in mission where it is dangerous for the pilot.
Usually it is controlled by crew of one pilot and two sensor operators. They are linked using terrain navigation softwares which makes it more vulnerable for the enemy to intercept\

Hence Drones can have more uses in the coming future.

                                        EYE TRACKING

Ever wonder what it feels like to sit and do everything with your eyes??...well some geniuses at Eye Tribe have already done this .They successfully created the technology to allow you to control your tablet, play flight simulator, and even slice fruits in Fruit Ninja only with your eye movements. Sitting there you'd be like Whoa!!! that is cool!! It’s basically taking the common eye-tracking technology and combining it with a front-facing camera plus some serious computer-vision algorithm, and there you have it, fruit slicing done with the eyes! A live demo was done in LeWeb this year and we may actually be able to see it in in action in mobile devices in 2013. Its surprising that this company is still seeking partnership to get this technology available to consumers but we all know that this kind of stuff is just way to cool and we may find it in the near future. Professional eye tracking for just $199. YAY!!!!

bibilography for the post on VRhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_reality
Virtual reality or virtual realities (VR), computer-simulated reality, is a computer technology that replicates an environment, real or imagined, and simulates a user's physical presence and environment to allow for user interaction. Virtual realities artificially create sensory experience, which can include sight, touch, hearing, and smell.
Most up-to-date virtual realities are displayed either on a computer screen or with a special virtual reality headset and some simulations include additional sensory information and focus on real sound through speakers or headphones targeted towards VR users. Some advanced  systems now include tactile information, generally known as force feedback in medical, gaming and military applications. Furthermore, virtual reality covers remote communication environments which provide virtual presence of users with the concepts of teleprescence and telexistence or a virtual artifact (VA) either through the use of standard input devices such as a keyboard and mouse .  The immersive environment can be similar to the real world in order to create a lifelike experience—for example, in simulations for pilot or combat training—or it can differ significantly from reality, such as in VR games.

INVISIBILITY LENSES

INVISIBILITY LENSES

Inspired by Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, scientists have developed new technologies to hid objects from view. Some of the are actually quite simple. The latest one, developed at the University of Rochester only overcomes some of the limitations of previous devices, but it uses inexpensive, readily available materials in a novel configuration.USING LENSES!
In order to both cloak an object and leave the background undisturbed, the researchers determined the lens type and power needed, as well as the precise distance to separate the four lenses. To test their device, they placed the cloaked object in front of a grid background. As they looked through the lenses and changed their viewing angle by moving from side to side, the grid shifted accordingly as if the cloaking device was not there.  There was no discontinuity in the grid lines behind the cloaked object, compared to the background, and the grid sizes (magnification) matched.
While their device is not quite like Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak, Howell had some thoughts about potential applications, including using cloaking to effectively let a surgeon “look through his hands to what he is actually operating on,” he said. The same principles could be applied to a truck to allow drivers to see through blind spots on their vehicles.
